We are currently looking for a Permanent Part-Time Receptionist to join our current front of house team. This role is a key contributor to the smooth running of the site, as Reception is often the ‘go to’ place for visitors seeking information or assistance. Based at the Visitor Information Desk in the Clubhouse, at the centre of the Museum site, you will be in a fast-paced environment and will individually cover on a rota basis across our seven-day operation.

You will be part of the Admissions & Retail Team, reporting to our Admissions & Retail Manager and will play your part to ensure that the Museum consistently provides a high-quality experience to all. You are the face of the museum for our visitors, and your interactions with our visitors can really make someone’s visit special. With knowledge and enthusiasm you will provide an efficient, warm, friendly and informative customer focused reception, administration and information service to help us deliver ‘an incredible day out’ every day.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience in a similar role within a visitor attraction, customer facing or hospitality environment and possess good communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach to suit your audience. You will be confident at ‘owning’ a query or issue with the ability to use initiative and common sense to resolve problems in a calm, professional manner, especially when under pressure and multi-tasking in a busy demanding environment.

Working days will be Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 8:00–18:00. Some flexibility may be required. Please note this is a permanent position.

Berklands Museum is the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation, and the home of Concorde. Located on the 32-acre site of the world’s first purpose-built motor racing circuit and the most productive aircraft factories in Europe in the twentieth century, Brooklands Museum welcomes around 180,000 visitors each year. These are made up of members of the public, Brooklands Members, VIPs, corporate hospitality guests and school groups. The Museum is operational 7 days a week, only closing for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
