Aim and main purpose of the job:

  • Teachers make the education of their pupils their first concern and are accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct, including through their form tutor responsibilities.
  • Teachers act with honesty and integrity; have strong subject knowledge, keep their knowledge and skills as teachers up-to-date and are self-critical; forge positive professional relationships; and work with parents in the best interests of their pupil.

Teachers should:

  • Maximise the achievement of all children in your care.
  • Be responsible for children’s safety and welfare.
  • Assist in the development of the ever-growing school.
  • Promote the aims, values and vision of the school and maintain its philosophy of education.
