We are an established provider of good quality College and School Links courses for young people and adults with learning difficulties and emotional/behavioural difficulties. Brooklands College is committed to supporting learners with a wide range of needs including dyslexia, autism and physical and sensory needs. We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide support to learner/s for the duration of their course.
Responsibilities
- Support learners in class 1:1 or in small groups, working at a range of levels from entry level to L3 across all curriculum areas
- Use strategies to help students with reading, writing and maths skills
- Support students during their exams
- Keep careful records of all LSA support provided
Qualifications
- English & Maths level 2
- A relevant LSA qualification or willingness to take one (a distinct advantage)
- Good IT, numeracy, oral and written communication skills
- A sound understanding of the purpose of the Additional Learning Support function
