Brookhaven is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with SEND pupils in our specialist school.
Key Responsibilities
- Work under the instruction/guidance of teaching staff to undertake work, care and support programmes.
- Enable access to learning for pupils.
- Assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.
Required Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistant (or recognised equivalent qualification or experience).
- Some experience of working with children with SEND.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to promote a positive ethos and act as a positive role model.
- Good interpersonal, numeracy and literacy skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and ability to promote the welfare and safety of children.
