This position is a building cleaning worker that supports the daily operations of commercial or institutional properties.
Responsibilities
- Clean offices, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas.
- Mop floors (wet or dry), shampoo rugs, wash walls and glass, remove rubbish, pressure wash, and eliminate gum and graffiti.
- Make minor repairs, paint, carpentry, replenish bathroom supplies, perform landscaping and snow removal when required.
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floor surfaces, lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Dust furniture and equipment.
- Replace light bulbs and transport small equipment or tools between departments.
- Set up tables and chairs in auditoriums, meeting rooms, or other event spaces.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Less than 1 year of prior experience in a commercial or multi‑unit residential property.
- Dependable, follows instructions, and takes responsibility for own actions.
- Team player who contributes to a positive team spirit.
- Ethical conduct and respect for others; works with integrity.
- Follows company policies, procedures, safety and security protocols, and reports unsafe conditions.
- Computer and smart‑phone literacy required.
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand basic English; multilingual skills are a plus.
