Position
The Revenue Optimisation Manager reports to General Manager – Commercial. This pivotal role will focus on maximising airline revenue through effective pricing, inventory, and yield strategies, balancing competitive fares with profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Aviation Management, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5–10 years of airline revenue optimisation experience.
- Proficient in revenue management systems (e.g., Aviator) and data analysis tools.
- Strong skills in data analysis, statistical modelling, revenue systems, dynamic pricing tools, financial modelling, and regulatory compliance.
- Effective communicator and cross-functional collaborator.
- Adaptable with strong strategic, decision-making, and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Network Planning, Operations, Data Analytics, IT, Finance, Leadership, Alliance Partners, and Training teams to align and optimise revenue strategies.
- Regulatory and Competitor Engagement: Ensure compliance with regulations and monitor competitors’ pricing and revenue strategies.
- Revenue Management Duties:
- Develop and implement pricing strategies across all sales channels.
- Manage seat inventory and yield to maximise revenue.
- Analyse market trends, forecast demand, and adjust pricing accordingly.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and monitor industry trends.
- Collaborate across departments to secure competitive group quotes and drive overall revenue goals.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) regularly to senior management
- Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvements, drive innovation, and adapt to market changes.
- Training and Development: Mentor and upskill team members in pricing, inventory, and yield management.
- Strategic and Financial Alignment: Align revenue strategies with financial targets, budgeting, network optimisation, and customer insights.
- Software Management: Oversee the use and enhancement of revenue management systems and subscriptions.
