Job Purpose: The Client Associate function supports the Client Relationship Managers (CRMs) and Client Service Relationship Managers (CSRs) in fundraising and client servicing for institutional investors in Germany, Austria & Central Eastern Europe (DACEE). The role encompasses all aspects of the fundraising process, including marketing activities, direct client communications, research, and due diligence, as well as supporting existing investor relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Business development – support all aspects of fund marketing activities, client prospect due diligence and onboarding processes.
- Work with CRMs to originate new client investment activity across the DACEE region.
- Coordinate dedicated DACEE client events with the Events team.
- Coordinate and attend update/diligence meetings with investment teams (prepare pre‑meeting reports and materials, coordinate follow‑up).
- Collaborate with the diligence team to support clients through the due‑diligence process.
- Client servicing – work with CSRs to service investors, support onboarding, and handle subscription documentation.
- General coordination – support CRMs and CSRs with the internal CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring it is up to date for reporting and tracking of fundraising and servicing opportunities.
- Assist with ad‑hoc business development activities.
- Conduct alternative‑asset industry research and client‑specific research to map the DACEE market across asset classes.
- Monitor industry press for prospect and competitor information.
- Coordinate road shows, conferences, and investor meetings in collaboration with the Fundraise, Diligence, Events, and Coordination teams.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree.
- Postgraduate studies in finance (CFA, MBA, CA/CPA) is advantageous.
- Relevant experience (3+ years) in the financial services industry, preferably in a client‑facing role within asset management.
- Strong investment and financial analytical capabilities.
- Knowledge of private markets/alternative investments – a bonus.
- Strong time and project management skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience with Salesforce ideal but not required.
- Team player with a positive attitude, collaborative mindset, desire to learn, and proactive approach.
- Ability to develop strong internal/external relationships and to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and creative problem‑solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑motivated with a high level of attention to detail.
- Fluency in German and English required.
