Brookes HC Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Support Worker for a specialist residential service in Handsworth Wood. The service supports adults with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, autism, complex needs and behaviours that may challenge. This is a full-time opportunity offering regular day shifts for an initial six-month period, with the potential to secure a permanent position once the contract has been completed.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing person-centred support based on each individual’s assessed needs
  • Supporting residents with daily living tasks and personal care where required
  • Encouraging independence, choice and community participation
  • Following individual care plans and risk assessments
  • Accurately completing daily records and providing clear handovers
  • Recognising and reporting any safeguarding or wellbeing concerns
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent support

To be considered, you must:

  • Have previous experience working within health or social care
  • Hold a Care Certificate and be able to provide evidence
  • Hold a practical Manual Handling certificate and be able to provide evidence
  • Be confident supporting adults with complex needs
  • Be available to work 8:00am–8:00pm day shifts
  • Be flexible to work a variable rota, including weekends
  • Be reliable, compassionate and committed to providing high-quality care
