Pay: £12.80–£13.00 per hour, depending on experience

Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week

Shifts: 7:45am–8:15pm and 7:45pm–8:15am

Brookes HC Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Senior Support Worker for an established residential care service in Leicester. This is a full-time role working a mixture of day and night shifts. Applicants must be genuinely flexible to work both shift patterns, as candidates seeking days-only or nights-only positions cannot be considered.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the team and coordinating the delivery of care during your shift
  • Delegating responsibilities and supporting less-experienced colleagues
  • Administering medication safely and completing the necessary records
  • Providing person-centred support and personal care
  • Following and updating care plans and risk assessments
  • Completing accurate daily notes, incident records and handovers
  • Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns
  • Recognising and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns
  • Helping maintain a safe, supportive and well-organised service

To be considered, you must:

  • Have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker, Senior Carer or Care Team Leader
  • Have experience leading and supporting a care team
  • Hold medication training and be confident administering medication
  • Be able to work both day and night shifts
  • Be reliable, organised and confident making decisions during a shift
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Be comfortable providing personal care
  • Already have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship
