We are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse to join a well-established nursing home in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham. The home provides nursing and dementia care for older people in a warm, person-centred environment, with a strong focus on dignity, comfort, companionship and individual wellbeing.

Role details:

  • Based in Handsworth Wood, Birmingham
  • £21.22 per hour
  • 36 hours per week
  • Permanent position

Duties will include:

  • Delivering high standards of nursing care
  • Supporting residents with nursing and dementia care needs
  • Administering medication safely
  • Completing care plans and risk assessments
  • Monitoring residents’ health and wellbeing
  • Liaising with GPs, families and external professionals
  • Supporting care staff and leading by example on shift
  • Promoting dignity, independence, choice and person-centred care
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Ensuring care is delivered in line with professional standards

Candidate requirements:

  • Valid NMC PIN
  • RGN, RMN or RNLD considered
  • Previous nursing home experience preferred
  • Dementia care experience would be advantageous
  • Strong communication and clinical skills
  • Caring, reliable and professional approach
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
