Brookes HC Recruitment Ltd is recruiting an experienced and compassionate Night Support Worker for a residential care service in Poole. The service supports people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities and mental health needs. This is a temp-to-permanent opportunity offering 33.75 hours per week for somebody seeking a stable, long-term position.
Responsibilities
- Providing person-centred support throughout the night
- Supporting individuals with their personal care and daily living needs
- Promoting dignity, independence, choice and wellbeing
- Completing regular checks and responding appropriately to individual needs
- Following support plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures
- Maintaining clear and accurate care records
- Working effectively with colleagues to provide safe and consistent support
- Completing appropriate handovers at the end of each shift
Requirements
- Previous care or support-work experience is strongly preferred
- Availability to work night shifts, including weekends
- A compassionate, respectful and reliable approach
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
- An understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding
- The right to work in the UK
