Brookes HC Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Senior Support Worker for a residential care service in Leicester. The service provides 24-hour, person-centred support to adults with a range of complex needs. We are looking for a dependable and confident Senior Support Worker who can lead shifts, support the wider care team and help maintain consistently high standards of care.
Key responsibilities
- Leading shifts and providing guidance to Support Workers
- Administering and recording medication safely
- Supporting people with their daily routines and personal care
- Following individual care and support plans
- Promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing
- Completing accurate care records and shift handovers
- Responding appropriately to incidents and safeguarding concerns
- Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed
- Supporting senior management with the smooth running of the service
Essential requirements
- Previous experience working within health and social care
- Practical experience administering and recording medication
- Confidence taking responsibility during a shift
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A reliable, professional and person-centred approach
- Flexibility to work both day and night shifts
- An existing unrestricted right to work in the UK
