The predicted salary is between 12.9 - 12.9 £ per hour.

Location: Oakwood, Leeds.

Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week.

Contract: Permanent after probation.

Shift Pattern: Day shifts, including every other weekend.

About the Role

The home supports up to 22 residents with a range of needs including dementia, learning disabilities and mental health conditions. Residents range in age from their 40s through to older adults, and this is a varied and rewarding role within a supportive care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the day‑to‑day running of shifts and help ensure residents receive safe, person‑centred care.
  • Lead and support care staff on shift.
  • Administer medication safely and accurately.
  • Support residents with personal care and daily living needs.
  • Complete care records and documentation.
  • Support residents with dementia, learning disabilities and mental health needs.
  • Report any changes in residents' needs or wellbeing.
  • Liaise with senior staff, families and healthcare professionals where required.
  • Promote dignity, independence and choice.
  • Help maintain a warm, safe and friendly home environment.

Requirements

  • Previous care experience within a care home or residential setting.
  • Experience as a Senior Carer, Team Leader or experienced Care Assistant.
  • Confidence administering medication.
  • Ability to lead and support a team on shift.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • A caring, reliable and professional approach.
  • Flexibility to work every other weekend.
  • The right to work in the UK.
