We are currently recruiting for a female Support Worker to join a residential care home in Birmingham, B18, supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs, including schizophrenia. This is a full-time role offering a mixture of day and night shifts. Some residents require support with full manual handling and personal care, so previous experience in a similar setting would be highly beneficial.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality support to residents with learning disabilities and mental health needs
- Support individuals with daily living tasks and routines
- Deliver personal care where required
- Assist with full manual handling for some residents
- Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times
- Follow care plans and report any changes or concerns
- Work effectively as part of the care team
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for residents
