Brookes HC Recruitment is recruiting a Night Support Worker for a specialist residential care service in Clacton-on-Sea. The service supports adults aged 46-89 with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and mental health needs. You will initially work through Brookes HC Recruitment for ten weeks, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position with the service following the successful completion of the placement. This role may suit an experienced Support Worker or somebody with a genuine understanding of care who is looking to develop their experience. Full role-specific training can be provided in-house.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing compassionate, person-centred support throughout the night
- Assisting residents with personal care and daily living needs
- Responding appropriately when residents require reassurance or assistance
- Supporting residents living with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and mental health needs
- Carrying out regular checks and helping maintain a safe, calm environment
- Following individual care plans and risk assessments
- Accurately completing daily records and providing clear handovers
- Recognising and reporting safeguarding concerns
