Domestic Assistant / Cleaner Location: Leicester Hours: 30 hours per week (6 hours per day, 5 days a week – start/finish times negotiable) Pay: £12.21 per hour Setting: Small residential care home for 8 residents We are looking for a trustworthy, respectful, and reliable Domestic Assistant / Cleaner to join our friendly team at a small, homely care home in Leicester. This role plays a vital part in helping us maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our 8 residents, many of whom see their room as their private sanctuary. We are looking for someone who is not only thorough in their work but also mindful of working in people’s personal spaces. Main Responsibilities: * Cleaning and tidying residents’ individual rooms with care and respect * Cleaning communal areas including lounges, bathrooms, and hallways * Assisting with laundry tasks: washing, drying, and ironing clothes, bedding, and towels * Following hygiene and infection control protocols * Working as part of a supportive and caring team What We’re Looking For: * Someone who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of cleanliness in a care setting * Experience in domestic or care home cleaning (preferred but not essential) * Respectful and sensitive when working in residents’ personal spaces * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently * Flexible and willing to adapt to the needs of the home Job Details: * 30 hours per week – 6 hours per day, 5 days a week * Start and finish times are negotiable to suit your availability * £12.21 per hour * Permanent contract This is a rewarding role where your efforts will directly contribute to the comfort and wellbeing of our residents.
