About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our friendly team at our 18-bed care home in Birmingham (B48). You’ll play an important role in ensuring our residents enjoy freshly prepared, nutritious meals every day.
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking high-quality, balanced meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
- Serving meals and refreshments in a warm and caring manner.
- Checking and accounting for all goods delivered, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Maintaining excellent hygiene standards and adhering to all food safety regulations.
- Working both independently and as part of a supportive team.
- Attending statutory and in-house training sessions.
- Undertaking other kitchen duties as required to support smooth daily operations.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- An experienced Cook, ideally with experience in a care home or similar environment.
- Passionate about providing nutritious, well-presented meals.
- Knowledgeable in food hygiene and safety standards.
- Able to prioritise, work efficiently, and use their own initiative.
- A team player with a positive, caring attitude.
Please note: The home is not accessible by public transport, so applicants must live locally or have access to their own transport.
