Brookes HC Recruitment is recruiting a Night Support Worker for a specialist residential care service in Clacton-on-Sea. The service supports adults aged 46–89 with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and mental health needs. You will initially work through Brookes HC Recruitment for ten weeks, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position with the service following the successful completion of the placement.
This role may suit an experienced Support Worker or somebody with a genuine understanding of care who is looking to develop their experience. Full role-specific training can be provided in-house.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing compassionate, person-centred support throughout the night
- Assisting residents with personal care and daily living needs
- Responding appropriately when residents require reassurance or assistance
- Supporting residents living with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and mental health needs
- Carrying out regular checks and helping maintain a safe, calm environment
- Following individual care plans and risk assessments
- Accurately completing daily records and providing clear handovers
- Recognising and reporting safeguarding or wellbeing concerns
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent support
To be considered, you must:
- Have some previous care experience or a good understanding of what care work involves
- Be compassionate, patient and respectful
- Be comfortable providing personal care
- Be reliable and able to remain attentive throughout long night shifts
- Have good written and verbal communication skills
- Be available to work night shifts from 7:45pm–8:00am
- Already have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship
