About the Role
We are seeking flexible and enthusiastic individuals to join our casual front-of-house team. In this varied role, you will be integral to the smooth operation of our events and daily service, ensuring a high-quality experience for our guests across our Worcestershire venues.
This is a hands-on hospitality role, and team members will be expected to support across different areas of service as required. This position offers the opportunity to gain experience in multiple areas of hospitality within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up function rooms and event spaces according to specifications.
- Provide friendly and efficient service at our ‘to-go’ food point.
- Set up, replenish and oversee buffet service.
- Maintain and manage refreshment stations, including tea and coffee provision
- Perform waitressing duties for formal dinners and events, including table service and clearing.
- Assist with general kitchen and back-of-house duties as required, including pot washing, washing up and maintaining clean and organised wash-up areas.
- Support the wider team with clearing, cleaning and resetting areas during and following service.
- Ensure all service areas are kept clean, tidy and well-stocked
- Uphold excellent customer service standards and adhere to all food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
- Undertake other reasonable hospitality duties as required to support the smooth running of events and service.
Shift Scheduling & Communication
- Weekly shifts are advertised in a dedicated WhatsApp group.
- Team members are required to indicate their availability for the upcoming period.
- The finalised rota is published monthly on our Breathe HR platform and confirmed within the WhatsApp group.
Person Specification
- Reliable, punctual and possesses a strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Willing to undertake a variety of front-of-house and general hospitality duties as required.
- Ability to work flexibly across different venues and shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
- A team player who can also work independently using initiative.
- Previous experience in a similar front-of-house or events role is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Practical Requirements
Transport: You must have your own reliable transport to get to and from our various venues across Worcestershire.
Uniform: A professional appearance is essential. The uniform consists of a plain white shirt, black trousers or a skirt of appropriate length, and black smart shoes. Jeans, trainers or any form of casual footwear are not permitted.
