About The School Counsellor Role
Brooke Weston Academy is seeking a School Counsellor who will be a vital part of our student wellbeing team—offering confidential, one-to-one support and helping to create a safe, nurturing environment where every student feels heard, valued, and empowered.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver confidential counselling sessions to students facing emotional, social, or educational challenges.
- Foster a culture of care and wellbeing across the Academy.
- Work closely with safeguarding leads and external professionals to ensure students receive the best possible support.
- Maintain secure and professional records in line with BACP ethical guidelines.
- Stay current with developments in counselling and education to continuously improve your practice.
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified counsellor (BACP registered or equivalent) with experience working with young people.
- A warm, empathetic communicator who builds trust easily.
