We have the opportunity to appoint a Catering Assistant to join our Secondary Catering Team. Our Catering Team provides fresh hot and cold food to students and staff across all schools within Brooke Weston Trust in Corby, Kettering and Wisbech. The successful candidate will assist with all aspects of food preparation, food service, kitchen and canteen hygiene in a busy and demanding environment. Ideal candidates may already have experience working in a school catering environment, but it is essential that any candidate shares our vision to provide an enjoyable and safe environment during lunch times and to dismiss the age‑old notion that school dinners are bad. Travel between schools may also be required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, plating, and cleaning.
- Support food service and ensure timely delivery to students and staff.
- Maintain kitchen and canteen hygiene standards.
- Travel between schools as necessary.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a school catering environment preferred.
