The Role:
As a Completions Officer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring that deals progress smoothly from approval to funding. You’ll work closely with solicitors, brokers, underwriters, and clients to manage the final stages of the loan process — delivering a high level of service while maintaining full compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the loan completion process, ensuring all required conditions are met prior to release of funds
- Liaise with solicitors, brokers, and internal teams to manage timelines and address any issues
- Review legal documents and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Monitor case progression and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Identify and resolve any outstanding conditions or red flags promptly
- Maintain accurate case records and documentation throughout the process
- Work closely with underwriting and post-completion teams to ensure a seamless customer journey
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a completions role within specialist finance, particularly bridging, BTL or commercial lending
- Strong understanding of legal processes related to property transactions and loan drawdowns
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Proactive, organised, and confident managing multiple cases simultaneously
- Fully office-based role – must be able to commute to London City daily
