Our vision is of a world in which working horses, donkeys and mules are free from suffering. Our mission is to transform the lives of vulnerable working horses, donkeys and mules around the world. We relieve their immediate suffering and create lasting change by working with people, communities and organisations.

As our Farriery Advisor, you will coordinate farriery training across Brooke's programmes and work closely with colleagues in our country offices to develop training plans that support the objectives of our global farriery programme. Working in partnership with our expert Farriery Consultants, you will help shape and deliver training plans, ensuring recommendations are embedded through shared learning across countries and communicated to those who will benefit most.

You will also expand our resources, knowledge and learning using innovative, accessible approaches that reflect the needs of diverse audiences, including those with limited literacy and resources. Your work will help shape future direction and innovation in farriery, including strengthening supply chains, promoting business and enterprise skills, and contributing to discussions on legislation, standards and policy frameworks relevant to the sector.

You will be a fully qualified UK Farrier. Additional qualifications in animal behaviour or adult education would be an advantage. Cultural awareness is essential, along with the ability to adapt your approach to support effective training, collaboration and understanding. You will also be comfortable travelling to low-resource settings and working independently as you help strengthen our work to alleviate the suffering of animals in the communities we serve.
