About Brookdale View Care Home

Brookdale View Care Home is a welcoming 48 bed care home in Newton Heath, Manchester, offering residential and nursing care. With a friendly, family focused atmosphere and a dedicated team, you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with residents and make a genuine difference to their everyday lives. The home is also conveniently located close to Manchester city centre, with good public transport links.

Contract: £23.63 per hour, contracted to 44 hours per week

  • Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Clinical Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the leadership and performance of the home, working in close partnership with the Home Manager to drive clinical excellence, regulatory compliance and high quality care delivery. This is a senior leadership position where you will take responsibility for the clinical oversight of the service and ensure standards are consistently achieved and sustained. You will lead on all aspects of clinical governance, care planning, medication management and risk, ensuring care is safe, effective and person centred. You will monitor performance, carry out audits, support inspections and take ownership of continuous improvement, ensuring the home operates in line with regulatory and organisational standards. You will provide visible, hands on leadership to the nursing and care teams, supporting, mentoring and developing staff to deliver high quality outcomes. Acting as Deputy to the Home Manager, you will confidently oversee the service in their absence, manage day to day operations and make informed decisions that support both residents and staff.

  • Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN
  • Strong clinical knowledge and experience within a care setting
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Experience in clinical governance, audits and compliance
  • Ability to support, mentor and develop staff
  • Confident decision making and problem solving skills
  • A compassionate, professional and resident focused approach
