As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will …
- Undertake HVAC, mechanical and public health system design across a range of project sectors, including calculations, drawings and specifications.
- Prepare drawings using AutoCAD, with experience of Revit being advantageous.
- Undertake energy modelling using IES software; experience of Part L compliance, NZC assessments, overheating analysis, TM54 and BREEAM HEA04 is highly advantageous.
- Complete SAP calculations to produce domestic EPCs.
- Support project delivery from concept through to detailed design and technical coordination.
- Survey and report on mechanical systems within existing buildings.
- Monitor, report and support contract administration during construction.
- Undertake witnessing duties during project handover.
- Collaborate with clients, design team members, suppliers and contractors to deliver technically robust, efficient solutions.
- Comply with Brookbanks QA procedures and support wider departments when needed.
What we’re looking for
- Degree educated in a relevant discipline.
- Strong mechanical design skills across building services.
- IES and Revit experience is desirable.
- Working towards chartership or Chartered.
- Driving license.
