Purpose of the role: To work as part of an early help Mental Health Hub team delivering confidential and non‑judgmental humanistic counselling to young people aged 11 – 25 years. To support the service by working flexibly to meet the needs of service users and contribute to the smooth running of the Mental Health Hub.
Essential criteria:
- A counselling qualification at Diploma or degree level from a recognised course which would meet the requirements for BACP Accreditation
- Demonstrable post qualification experience of counselling with clients
- Experience of managing own case‑load, maintaining highest standards of record‑keeping, report writing, and referral procedures
- Ability to travel to and work from the Cornwall Hub – this is an in‑person post
About the role:
- Hours: Part‑Time 18.75 Hours per week afternoons/early evenings. There may be a requirement to work Saturday mornings.
- Contract: Fixed contract until 31/3/2027
- Location: Penhaligon House, Green St, Truro TR1 2LH
- Salary: £32,208.00 pro rata
- Closing date: 28th May 2026
Upon completing your probationary period, you will be eligible to join the 4 Day Week program, which allows you to work 20% fewer hours without a decrease in salary.
