We’re looking for an Interim Head of Service Development with a national remit to support innovation and identify opportunities for new business and growth. You will respond to current and new business opportunities, develop market intelligence and maintain and develop high quality relationships. You will also lead collaboration with colleagues across the organisation to respond to complex tender opportunities and grant applications, driving activities through all stages of the bid process.

Essential criteria

  • Have previous senior management and staff management experience.
  • Outstanding communication skills evidenced through a successful track record in income generation, including through competitive tenders for statutory services and charitable grants.
  • Have demonstrable experience in the design of innovative service models, preferably in the youth, health or education sectors.
  • Your project management skills will enable you to work well under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of public health commissioning and charitable fundraising.
  • Have excellent commercial awareness.

About the role

  • Hours: Part‑time 30 hours per week
  • Probation confirmed: eligible to join the 4 Day Week programme (20% fewer hours without a salary decrease)
  • Contract: temporary interim role (6 months)
  • Location: London or Liverpool (hybrid working available)
  • Salary: £52,530
