Purpose of the role: To work as part of an early help Mental Health Hub team delivering confidential and non-judgmental humanistic counselling to young people aged 11 – 25 years. To support the service by working flexibly to meet the needs of service users and contribute to the smooth running of the Mental Health Hub.
Essential criteria:
- A counselling qualification at Diploma or degree level from a recognised course which would meet the requirements for BACP Accreditation.
- Demonstrable post qualification experience of counselling with clients.
- Experience of managing own case load, maintaining highest standards of record keeping, report writing, and referral procedures.
- Ability to travel to and work from the Cornwall Hub - this is an in-person post.
About the role:
- Hours: Part-Time 18.75 Hours per week afternoons/early evenings. There may be a requirement to work Saturday mornings.
- Contract: Fixed contract until 31/3/2027.
- Location: Penhaligon House, Green St, Truro TR1 2LH.
- Salary: £32,208.00 pro rata.
- Closing date: 28th May 2026.
Upon completing your probationary period, you will be eligible to join the 4 Day Week program, which allows you to work 20% fewer hours without a decrease in salary.
