About the Role
Brook Street are recruiting on behalf of HMCTS for a Court Usher to support the smooth running of court proceedings. You will assist judges, legal staff, and court users, ensuring the courtroom operates efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Court Preparation: Set up courtrooms with materials (e.g., water, glasses) and clear after hearings.
- Court Records & Paperwork: Work with judges and clerks, manage hearing papers, record party details, and photocopy documents.
- Witness Management: Swear in witnesses and provide guidance.
- Customer Service & Liaison: Answer enquiries, inform court users of changes, and escort parties as needed.
- Collaboration & Office Support: Assist Court Clerks, Legal Advisers, Witness Services, and other office areas.
- Professional Standards: Maintain punctuality, dress code, and handle sensitive information discreetly.
