Admin Officer
Location: Warrington, WA1 1UR
Working Days / Hours: 37 hours Monday - Friday
Working Pattern: 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
There may be occasional requirements to work on Saturdays or Bank Holidays, depending on court requirements.
Pay Rate: Β£12.86 per hour
Our Client is hiring for an Admin Officer - you'll be the calm, reliable first point of contact that helps people move through court services smoothly. This is a hands-on admin and customer service role with real purpose: supporting day-to-day operations and helping deliver justice, in and outside of hearings.
What you'll be doing:
- Be the first point of contact for users, judicial office holders and partner agencies-face-to-face, by telephone, digital chat and written correspondence
- Prepare for, facilitate and conclude a range of hearing-related administration tasks
- Provide clear guidance and signposting using established service scripts and knowledge materials, including for users with complex or vulnerable needs
- Manage enquiries and resolve issues promptly to help prevent delays, escalating where required
- Handle case files with accurate data entry and secure information management in line with retention and data loss protocols
- Support listing and scheduling, coordinating diary/admin tasks to ensure judicial time is used effectively
- Manage jury service admin tasks including selection/deferral/reassignment and attendance tracking, plus relevant fees/expenses processing
- Support enforcement activity including financial assessments and producing basic statistical/financial reports
- Contribute to health and safety processes (e.g., facility checks and issue logging) and respond immediately when needed
What you'll bring:
- Confidence providing excellent customer service, explaining processes clearly-even in challenging or distressing situations
- Strong digital skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and working with databases
- Ability to communicate professionally and impartially while dealing with sensitive information
- Practical problem-solving skills, prioritising workload and adjusting to urgent requests
- Flexibility to support the team and work to operational needs (including occasional Saturday/Bank Holiday cover)
- Resilience, discretion and a consistent approach to safeguarding and security concerns
