Brook Street Social Care is recruiting on behalf of a well-established children's residential care provider seeking an experienced and passionate

Children's Home Registered Manager

to lead an Ofsted-registered home supporting children and young people.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader who is committed to delivering outstanding care, driving positive outcomes, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of the children's residential home, ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a dedicated team to deliver high-quality, child-centred care.
  • Ensure safeguarding practices are embedded throughout the service and promote the welfare of all young people.
  • Manage staff recruitment, supervision, performance management, and training.
  • Maintain excellent standards of care planning, record keeping, and regulatory compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, families, and external professionals.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Develop and implement service improvement plans to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Participate in the management on-call rota as required.

Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's Services (or working towards).
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior leadership role within children's residential care.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding legislation, and Children's Homes Standards.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience leading a children's home through Ofsted inspections.
  • Track record of achieving positive outcomes and service improvements.
