Pay Rates:

  • Days: Β£16.00 per hour
  • Waking Nights: Β£16.50 per hour

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide high-quality day-to-day residential support, promoting safety, wellbeing, and dignity at all times.
  • Support children and young people to develop independence, life skills, and positive routines in line with individual care plans.
  • Deliver relationship-based, trauma-informed support through consistency, empathy, and effective communication.
  • Support young people who may display challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support techniques.
  • Follow safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of incidents and concerns.
  • Respond appropriately to disclosures and welfare concerns.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, managers, families, and external professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Maintain professional and accurate records, including daily logs and handovers.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision sessions, and ongoing training.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience supporting children and young people in residential care or a similar setting.
  • A calm, resilient, and person-centred approach when supporting challenging behaviour.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence in completing written reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, days, and waking nights.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable.
  • In-date Behaviour Management training is desirable.
