Clerical/Admin Officer (AO) - Criminal Enforcement Support


Location: Swindon SN1 2JB


Additional information:



  • Office-based role: 9am-5pm, full-time

  • Pay rate: Β£13.25 per hour


You will be supporting the delivery of justice by helping ensure convicted parties comply with fines and other financial penalties imposed by the Courts. This is a busy, people-facing administrative role where your accuracy, organisation and customer focus genuinely make a difference.


What you'll be doing:



  • Deliver general admin support to progress cases through the court/tribunal system

  • Prepare papers and files for court, including photocopying, filing, and updating records on an in-house system

  • Support enforcement activity, including preparing documentation and ensuring materials are up to date for hearings

  • Handle enquiries across counter, written and telephone channels-sometimes with difficult customers or situations

  • Assist with scheduling and administration for meeting rooms, training sessions, agendas, joining instructions and handouts

  • Draft standard letters and correspondence, minutes, notes and reports according to guidelines

  • Support casework administration such as processing standard documents, bookings/dispatch, and maintaining accurate records

  • Perform basic calculations and straightforward reporting, and contribute to quality checks and document verification

  • Work to workload targets for throughput and accuracy, escalating complex issues to your team leader when required


What you'll bring:



  • Strong customer focus and service skills via telephone and email

  • Experience working in an administrative role in a customer-focused environment

  • Proficient IT skills and confidence using Microsoft software packages

  • Clear communication and strong organisational ability

  • A calm, professional approach-especially when dealing with challenging enquiries
