Support Worker – Homelessness Services (25+)
Location: Lancaster, LA1 5PE
Pay: £13 per hour

About the Role:
We are looking for a committed and empathetic Support Worker to join our team in delivering high-quality, person-centred support to adults aged 25 and over who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness. You\’ll work directly with individuals to help them regain stability, independence, and hope for the future.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one practical and emotional support tailored to each individual\’s needs.
  • Support clients with accessing housing, healthcare, benefits, and other essential services.
  • Develop and regularly review personalised support plans in collaboration with clients.
  • Build trusting relationships to support individuals through trauma, complex needs, or mental health challenges.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to ensure effective support pathways.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to risk assessments, safeguarding, and support reviews.

What We\’re Looking For:

  • A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adults and tackling homelessness.
  • Experience working with adults with complex needs (e.g. mental health, substance misuse, offending behaviour) is desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Resilience, flexibility, and a non-judgemental approach.
  • Knowledge of housing systems, homelessness legislation, or support planning is a plus.
  • Basic IT skills and ability to maintain clear, concise records.
