Location: Southampton, SO15 2XQ

  • Full time role: 37 hours per week
  • Pay: £12.85 per hour

Our Client is hiring for a reputed client and is looking for an Admin Officer who can deliver excellent customer service while supporting essential court and operational activity-on a full office-based basis in Southampton.

What you'll be doing:

  • Undertake administrative tasks to prepare for, facilitate, and conclude hearing activity
  • Help users and stakeholders through enquiries via face‑to‑face support, incoming/outbound telephone contact, and correspondence in a range of formats
  • Use service scripts and knowledge articles to signpost users to the right support and provide clear, consistent information‑especially for those with complex needs
  • Follow complaints policies and procedures, responding promptly and helping prevent escalation
  • Process work in line with standard operating procedures to meet performance targets and maintain service standards
  • Handle case files with accurate data entry, secure information management, and compliance with retention and data loss protocols
  • Support jury service administration, including selection, deferral, reassignment, and attendance tracking (plus related expenses and fees)
  • Assist with listing/scheduling and provide support for urgent matters, diary coordination, and locally required judicial business admin
  • Support enforcement processes, including financial assessments, fine collection support, and preparation of basic statistical/financial reports
  • Contribute to health and safety activity (e.g., checks, issue logging, and key/safety governance under team leader guidance)

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong customer service approach and confidence communicating clearly with people who may have complex needs
  • Ability to handle sensitive information accurately and follow process and compliance requirements
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset‑responding quickly, updating records as required, and escalating risks appropriately
  • Comfortable managing multiple administrative responsibilities, maintaining accuracy, and meeting operational targets
