Overview

Support Team Leader / Service Manager to oversee a 4-bed Supported Living service in York. This role is focused on supporting adults with learning disabilities, alongside individuals with mental health needs, complex needs, and some mobility challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Support Team Leader or Service Manager who is committed to delivering high-quality care and empowering individuals with learning disabilities to live independently within their community in York.

The Role

As a Support Team Leader / Service Manager in York, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team delivering specialist support to adults with learning disabilities. The Support Team Leader / Service Manager will ensure person-centred support is consistently delivered, maintaining high standards of care, compliance, and positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team, ensuring excellent care delivery for adults with learning disabilities
  • Supervise, mentor and develop staff to maintain a strong and supportive team culture
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding and training
  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and supported living best practice
  • Build strong professional relationships with individuals, families and external stakeholders across services in York
  • Review and monitor care plans to ensure individuals receive tailored support
  • Manage staffing, resources and service budgets

About You

  • Previous experience as a Support Team Leader, Deputy Manager or Service Manager within a CQC regulated service
  • Strong knowledge and experience supporting adults with learning disabilities
  • Confident leading teams and driving service improvement
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Health & Social Care (or working towards - support provided)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance and CQC standards
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
