About the Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you\’ll be at the heart of our daytime care operations. From personal care and medication support to care planning and team supervision, your role will make a real and lasting impact.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Delivering personalised, compassionate care during daytime hours

  • Supporting residents with personal hygiene, mobility, and emotional wellbeing

  • Leading and supporting care staff during your shift

  • Administering and documenting medication (as authorised)

  • Assisting with care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding measures

  • Building strong relationships with residents and families

  • Liaising with GPs, District Nurses, and Social Workers

  • Promoting dignity, choice, and independence throughout the day

  • Encouraging and supporting residents to participate in meaningful activities

What We\’re Looking For:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (essential)

  • NVQ Level 3 or willingness to work towards it (desirable)

  • Experience in elderly care or a residential care setting

  • Confidence leading a team and managing a shift

  • Skilled in writing care plans and conducting risk assessments

  • Medication trained with sound knowledge of safe administration

  • A warm, reliable, and proactive approach to care

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to work a flexible rota including weekends and holidays
