Temporary Worker - Judicial Training Event Support (Royal Courts of Justice, EO x4)

If you enjoy bringing structure, energy and calm to busy multi-location delivery, this is a great opportunity to support the end-to-end running of judicial training events across multiple jurisdictions. Our Client is hiring Temporary Workers to help ensure every event is well planned, smoothly delivered and continuously improved-backed by data, strong stakeholder relationships and a customer-focused approach.
What you'll be doing:
- Plan, allocate and lead the end-to-end delivery of a range of judicial training events within the Judicial College Training Programme
- Organise events by following established procedures and policies-while using initiative to proactively solve issues as they arise
- Manage your own time autonomously, delivering multiple events at different stages of development with minimal supervision
- Work collaboratively and flexibly across teams and jurisdictions to support programme delivery
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with judicial training leads and specialist College teams throughout each event's lifecycle
- Negotiate and influence other teams-often at senior level-to support successful delivery
- Use databases and information sources (including Judicial College Learning) to plan effectively and ensure accurate collation and analysis of data (e.g., audience lists, attendance and fees)
- Collate feedback from events and teams, identify service improvements, and help implement changes
- Support quality assurance and ensure accuracy and timeliness across your own work and relevant team activity (including judicial teams)
- Liaise with internal and external venue providers to secure cost-effective, high-quality venues and ensure they're set up correctly
- Proactively manage venue issues and complaints, raising concerns with venue providers when needed
- Organise catering and other event support through external companies as required
- Make proactive, evidence-based decisions on event capacity and recommend changes, including potential cancellations when necessary
- Provide direct support to judicial delegates-resolving queries and issues
- Receive, negotiate and resolve reasonable adjustments requests from delegates
- Support delivery of face-to-face and online events, with the possibility of overnight stays
- Ensure appropriate use of IT/AV equipment at events
- Complete finance and fees tasks accurately and on time
What you'll bring:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to connect with a wide range of stakeholders (including at more senior levels)
- Confidence handling difficult conversations without supervision
- Strong emotional intelligence to negotiate with, work alongside and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to manage complex prioritisation while organising multiple events at the same time
- Excellent customer service instincts and a professional, solutions-focused mindset
- Comfort navigating and managing online systems
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Flexibility and resilience to deal with organisational and event issues calmly and effectively

- CTC Clearance can be optional: we can work with someone not yet cleared, who is willing to submit the application once in post
