Registered Children\’s ManagerCarmarthenshireUp to £47,000 DOE.Brook Street are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Children\’s Manager to be appointed for a new home within an established service. You will be responsible for all aspects of running the four-bedroom home which offers support to young people between the ages of 8 and 18 who have social, emotional and mental health needs.This means you will be working very closely with young people who may display challenging behaviour; therefore you will need to be able to build excellent relationships based on trust. The organisation pride themselves on continuing to offer an atmosphere that promotes trust, fairness, privacy and safety for the young people within the caring environment and you will be responsible for ensuring that the young people are supported on a practical basis and prepared for a bright future ahead.Within your role as a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of running the home, leading a staff team and ensuring that compliance is met in accordance with regulatory requirements.Responsibilities:Leading a successful staff team and managing all day-to-day operations of the home.Ensuring that the staff team receives supervision and ensuring that they are fully supported within their roles.Inducting new staff members into the home\’s policies, procedures and culture.Ensuring the highest standards of care and support are provided in relation to the young people\’s physical, behavioural and emotional needs.Being the young person\’s champion and as part of the wider team strive to ensure that they achieve their aspirations and full potential.Ensuring effective care planning and risk assessing is conducted on a regular basis.Supporting and encouraging engagement with education to ensure that the young people achieve their full potential.You will also be responsible for overseeing key working in line with our individualised key working program which is overseen by clinical professionals.Requirements:QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care Children and Young People.A full driver\’s licence.Previous management experience within a children\’s residential setting.Experience with PBS and challenging behaviour.
