Our Client is hiring an Admin Officer to support day-to-day administrative work within a busy court environment at The Gore, Basildon. This is a full-time role working

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, for an initial

6-month assignment (extension: TBC).

Start is ASAP.

What you'll be doing:

  • Preparing papers and files for court hearings, tribunals, meetings and hearings
  • Producing court/tribunal documents, correspondence, reports and minutes
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating HMCTS systems
  • Processing casework including court orders, claims, fines, fees and legal aid documentation
  • Handling face-to-face, telephone and written enquiries from court users and stakeholders
  • Supporting hearings by ensuring documentation and materials are up to date and available
  • Checking and validating records and documents for compliance and accuracy
  • Collecting and compiling information for reports, statistics, warrants and operational activities
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and team projects

What you'll bring:

  • Previous administrative experience, or
  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration (or equivalent)
  • Strong organisation, time management and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Confident customer service approach with a professional, helpful manner
  • Microsoft Office and database systems
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment and meeting deadlines

Additional information:

  • Basic DBS clearance required
  • Pay rate: Β£13.25 per hour
