About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with business goals
- Identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives across the procurement function
- Analyse MRP data to inform purchasing decisions
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing cycle, from requisition to delivery
- Personally review and approve critical purchase orders
- Lead key vendor negotiations and develop strong supplier relationships
- Collaborate with production to prevent material shortages and resolve supply chain disruptions
- Oversee inventory management and implement best practices
- Supervise and mentor a small team, creating a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years’ hands-on experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar procurement leadership role
- Demonstrable success in delivering cost savings and optimising procurement processes
- Strong experience with MRP systems
- Proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and problem-solving skills
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage across all levels of the organisation

- Knowledge of quality management systems in regulated environments
