Administrative Officer (AO) x1 - HMCTS- Prestatyn Justice Centre

Working Days / Hours: Monday to Friday 37 Hours
Working Pattern: Full time in office
Pay Rate: Β£12.86ph
Level of Clearance Required: Basic DBS
Are you organised, confident with people, and comfortable keeping information moving accurately? Our Client is hiring for a reputed candidate to join the team at HMCTS - Prestatyn Justice Centre, supporting the effective running of Courts and Tribunals through a wide range of administrative and front-of-house services.
What you'll be doing:
- Preparing papers, files, and documents for hearings, meetings and court/tribunal activity
- Maintaining and updating records on an in-house computer system, including data input
- Managing post opening and dispatch, and carrying out general photocopying and filing
- Booking and preparing meeting rooms, agendas, joining instructions and handouts
- Supporting listing/rota activity and ensuring the right papers and materials are available and up to date
- Assisting court users with face-to-face, written and telephone enquiries, delivering a "right first time" service
- Contacting relevant parties, scheduling and serving documents, and executing a range of administrative actions (including handling fines/fees)
- Checking and verifying documents, accounts, claims and returns against criteria and quality standards
- Contributing to continuous improvement and problem-solving by following guidelines and processes

- Strong customer service values-helpful, polite, prompt and accurate
- Excellent administrative capability with careful attention to detail
- Confidence using computers for day-to-day tasks and maintaining accurate records
- Ability to work to workload targets, balancing throughput and accuracy
- A team mindset-working with regular management support and escalating complex issues appropriately
- Flexibility to support ad hoc needs across local offices when required
Additional information:
- You may have regular contact with court/tribunal users, including members of the Judiciary and legal professionals
- The role supports continuous improvement within set systems and processes, with opportunities to exercise initiative in the right areas
