Setting: Children's Residential Home, Solo Placement for Emotional Behavioural Difficulties

Salary: £34,084.00-£37,509.00 per annum, inclusive of sleeps (depending on qualification)

Our Client is a children-centred residential care provider for young people, and they're hiring a Senior Support Worker to join a highly valued team within a solo placement home supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

What you'll be doing as a Senior Support Worker:

  • Lead and support day-to-day care in a solo placement setting, helping children and young people feel safe, listened to and valued
  • Work with emotional and behavioural needs using a therapeutic, person-centred approach
  • Support positive outcomes through consistent care, boundaries, and encouragement
  • Help maintain high standards in line with Ofsted expectations and best practice
  • Take a proactive role in day-to-day routines, communication, and teamwork within the home

What you'll bring:

  • Experience of at least 12 months in a children's residential care home
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • A full UK driving licence (as you may be required to drive as part of the role)
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
  • Values aligned to nurturing, supportive care that puts the child first

Additional information:

  • Salary: £34,084.00-£37,509.00 per annum, inclusive of sleeps (depending on qualification)
  • Shift pattern: 2 days on, 4 days off
  • Paid induction training
  • Progression routes, including the opportunity to complete Level 4/5 Residential Childcare qualifications
