Mechanical Fitter – Inverness, UK (Permanent Role) Job Responsibilities: Maintain and service production machinery to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and rectify breakdowns in a timely manner to minimise downtime. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment. Collaborate with team members to improve machinery efficiency. Document maintenance activities and report any issues to management. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times. Working week is Monday to Friday with occasional overtime. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar role within a factory/production environment. Qualified to HND standard or qualified by experience. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field. Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is advantageous. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
