Brook Street Recruitment is working with our Belfast client to recruit an Outbound Sales Consultant. Are you confident on the phone, naturally persuasive and motivated by results? Our client is looking for a driven, resilient and highly organised individual who thrives on building relationships, handling objections and turning conversations into genuine business opportunities.
This is a predominantly outbound, telephone-based sales position, but it's not your typical cold-calling role. You won't be expected to source your own leads or build a prospect database from scratch. Instead, you'll work with carefully researched and highly targeted contact lists provided by the company - identifying and engaging business directors and individuals who may benefit from our specialist financial advisory services. The internal Marketing Team will support your outreach through targeted campaigns and pre-contact marketing activity, helping to build awareness and create more meaningful opportunities for engagement. Your responsibility is to turn that opportunity into a conversation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct proactive outbound telephone calls to targeted contacts using detailed lead lists provided by the company.
- Engage confidently with business owners, company directors, high-net-worth individuals and other prospective clients.
- Build rapport quickly, establish credibility and communicate the value of Bell & Company's services in a clear, professional and compelling manner.
- Identify potential client needs through effective questioning, active listening and a consultative sales approach.
- Confidently manage objections, navigate difficult conversations and recognise opportunities to progress suitable contacts.
- Maintain a proactive and persistent approach to outreach, understanding that successful engagement often requires multiple contact attempts.
- Work towards agreed activity, engagement and qualified-opportunity targets.
Lead Management & Follow-Up
- Take ownership of an allocated portfolio of prospective contacts, ensuring opportunities are actively managed and progressed.
- Follow structured contact strategies, including initial outreach, scheduled reattempts and ongoing follow-up.
- Send professional, templated follow-up emails and relevant company information to prospective clients.
- Continuously develop and maintain the quality of allocated contact lists by updating information, recording outcomes and identifying opportunities for future engagement.
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to maximise engagement from existing and upcoming campaigns.
Client Pre-Screening & Due Diligence
- Conduct structured initial conversations to establish prospective client's financial circumstances, challenges and objectives.
- Complete pre-screening and due-diligence procedures for interested and suitable contacts.
- Gather relevant information regarding financial liabilities, creditor exposure, assets and other circumstances necessary for an initial assessment.
- Assess whether prospective enquiries meet the company's qualification criteria.
- Ensure information is recorded accurately, comprehensively and confidentially.
- Prepare clear and detailed handover notes to support the next stage of the client journey.
CRM Management & Administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all calls, correspondence, follow-up activities and client information within the company's CRM system.
- Manage daily call schedules, follow-up tasks and outstanding actions efficiently.
- Ensure no potential opportunities are overlooked through poor record-keeping or missed follow-ups.
- Maintain a well-organised and actively managed sales pipeline.
- Track individual activity, contact outcomes and conversion performance.
- Handle sensitive personal and financial information professionally and in accordance with company procedures and applicable data protection requirements.
Team Collaboration & Performance
- Work closely with the internal Marketing Team and Client Analyst Team to ensure an effective and seamless prospect journey.
- Provide feedback on lead quality, prospect responses, common objections and opportunities to improve outreach campaigns.
- Participate in ongoing sales training, coaching and professional development.
- Demonstrate accountability for individual performance, targets and pipeline development.
- Contribute positively to a high-performing, commercially focused sales environment.
