About the Role

As a Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in helping young asylum seekers settle into life in the UK. You'll offer day-to-day practical and emotional support, helping them develop independent living skills, access essential services, and feel part of a safe, inclusive community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to young people in supported accommodation
  • Assist with access to healthcare, education, legal services, and social integration
  • Work closely with social workers, housing officers, and other professionals
  • Advocate on behalf of young people to ensure their rights are upheld
  • Keep accurate records, risk assessments, and support plans

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Compassionate, resilient, and culturally aware
  • Experienced in working with vulnerable young people (desirable)
  • Knowledgeable about the asylum process and safeguarding procedures
  • An excellent communicator with a flexible, solution-focused approach
  • DBS-checked (or willing to undergo one)
