If you're organised, confident with emails, and enjoy making things run smoothly behind the scenes, this temporary administrative role is a great opportunity to contribute to day-to-day operations with a reputable Government client. You'll be working under general supervision, following clear procedures, while using your judgement to resolve routine issues and support operational needs.

What you'll be doing:

  • Monitor and respond to emails in the team inbox throughout the day, ensuring enquiries are handled in line with policy.
  • Support travel and booking-related queries, including air, hotel, rail and hire car bookings - providing advice and lifting booking restrictions when required.
  • Deal with complaints and day-to-day issues effectively and professionally.
  • Oversee administrative processes and procedures to ensure they're followed accurately.
  • Manage insurance and accident management claims in line with policy requirements.
  • Act as an administrative liaison with internal and/or external contacts.
  • Prepare routine correspondence and produce fortnightly consolidated travel invoices.

What you'll bring:

  • A careful, process-driven approach, with confidence to apply instructions and exercise some independent judgement under general supervision.
  • Strong communication skills - clear and professional in both writing and conversation.
  • Solid administrative experience and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to stay calm and responsive when handling enquiries and complaints.

Additional information:

You'll need to meet the education/experience criteria below to be considered:

  • Five GCSEs at Grade C or above (including English Language or equivalent).
  • NVQ Business Administration Level 2 (or suitable clerical experience).
