Temporary contract role until April 2026 with an immediate start date where compliance allows.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare court, tribunal and hearing papers and files.
  • Produce court and tribunal documents, court orders, claims and fines.
  • Photocopy and file documents, manage photocopying tasks.
  • Enter and update records in the in‑house computer system and manage data input.
  • Post opening and dispatch, support administrative functions.
  • Book, prepare and organise meeting rooms and training courses.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, joining instructions, hand‑outs, minutes and reports according to guidelines.
  • Clerking civil and family courts, ensuring papers and materials are up‑to‑date.
  • Assist court users, manage listings and rota, check files.
  • Contact parties, schedule, serve court documents, execute warrants and collect fines.
  • Handle face‑to‑face and written/telephone enquiries.
  • Work in team to run Team Information Board meetings, problem‑solve, assess SOPS and contribute to projects.
  • Prepare and analyse statistical reports and financial information.
  • Check the work of others, update records, reconcile accounts and prepare invoices.
  • Communicate with the public, judiciary, and other stakeholders, providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and standard office equipment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in clerical work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous experience in court or administrative support is desirable.
