We have a great opportunity for a full-time long-term temp role within the Lewes Courts, to join a fast-paced office, working as part of the admin team.

- Location - Lewes
- Start date ASAP
Clerical/Admin Officer jury officer, after training the individual will need to carry out juror identification checks. Delivery of the jury speech to groups of new jurors. Use the juror system to create, empanel and return jury panels. Follow the long trial process to canvass jurors for trials over 2 weeks. Calculate the anticipated number of jurors to be called and manage the numbers to be as efficient as possible, when necessary transfer jurors to another court or reassign between pools. Process juror expenses claims within 10 days. Help produce monthly statistics. Process and produce standard letters for jurors who fail to attend or are deferred. Process juror reasonable adjustments. Send messages to jurors via the juror system. Answer juror phone calls, emails and in person queries. Effectively liaise with judiciary, advocates, list officer, jury manager, ushers and court users. To undertake other administrative and in court duties as required. The court sits over 3 sites, the successful applicant will be regularly asked to work at our other sites in Hove and Lewes.
