TEMPORARY Part Time PAYROLL & PENSIONS OFFICER On behalf of an Inverness based organisation, we are looking to source a temporary Payroll & Pensions Officer to assist for the next couple of months. This is a temporary role for approx 2 months and is part time - 3 full days a week - 21 hours. Candidates applying must have experience of processing payroll and pensions, and experience of public sector would be beneficial. This role is to provide a comprehensive and accurate payroll and pensions service ensuring full compliance with UK employment legislation, HMRC regulations, pension schemes, and internal policies. The Payroll & Pensions Officer will act as a key point of contact for payroll and pension queries and support the efficient operation of payroll systems and processes. Key Responsibilities will include:- Process monthly payroll accurately and within deadlines. Administer workplace pension schemes, including enrolment's, contributions and changes. Maintain accurate payroll and employee records. Process starters, leavers, salary changes, deductions and statutory payments. Complete payroll reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies. Ensure compliance with HMRC, pension legislation and company policies. Respond to employee queries regarding payroll, pensions and deductions. Produce payroll reports and support with reporting requirements. The Ideal candidate:- Previous experience in payroll and pension administration. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC requirements. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Able to work confidentially and meet strict deadlines. Experience using payroll/HR systems and good excel skills. Please note this post is office based in Inverness.
